About Me

The National Federation of Farm and Agro-Industry Trade Union of Ethiopia (NFFATU) is established with an objective of uniting workers of the sector    to strengthen their union and to protect the rights and benefits of members. NFFATU is an affiliate member of the Confederation of Ethiopia Trade Union (CETU), which is the largest and the sole national Trade Union that holds basic trade unions and more than members from its 9 branches of Industrial Federations.  NFFATU is also a member of international Union of Food, Agriculture, Hotel, Restaurants, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers` Association (IUF) Switzerland, and it has gained a lot of solidarity supports from its affiliates. NFFATU is re-organized and authenticated by the pertinent government authority, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs (MOLSA) on December 25, 1993, in accordance with the labor proclamation No 42/93.NFFATU helps employers and workers that are commonly work for the success of the organization to achieve the planned targets and creates proficiently among workers. It makes effort to create positive sense of belongingness about the enterprise among workers and to strive their level best for the attainment of commonly agreed goals and objectives of the enterprise they are working in. The Union gathers information about the enterprise both from the leadership and the members and based on that information it forwards options to strength the positive aspect and correct the shortcoming if there is any more importantly on behalf of the management unionization makes managerial activities easier and handier.
