MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

It is with great pride and commitment that I extend my heartfelt greetings to all our members, partners, and stakeholders on behalf of the Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Unions (CETU). As the sole and unified national trade union center in Ethiopia, CETU stands as a beacon of workers' rights, dignity, and unity.

With a membership exceeding one million workers across various sectors, CETU represents the collective voice of Ethiopia’s labor force. Our strength lies in the solidarity of our nine affiliated industrial federations, which serve as the pillars of our organizational structure. These federations encompass and coordinate the efforts of over 2500 basic trade unions, ensuring that the concerns and aspirations of workers are heard, advocated for, and addressed at every level — from factory floors to national policy platforms. As we navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing labor landscape, CETU remains steadfast in its mission to promote fair labor practices, equitable wages, safe working environments, and the fundamental rights of workers in all corners of the country. Together, we will continue to strive for a just and inclusive society where workers are respected, empowered, and celebrated for their essential contributions to national development.

In unity, there is strength. And in solidarity, there is progress
