The Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Unions (CETU) was established in 1963.
CETU is a unified umbrella Trade Union organization with a national presence, a multi-ethnic and multi-religious membership
CETU is a free, independent and democratic, non-partisan national Trade Union Center that stand for the well-being and safeguarding of the rights and interests of Ethiopian Workers of all categories
CETU has Over 1000,000 fee paying member workers and 2500 basic trade unions and nine industrial federations

Mission
Through unionizing unorganized workers and strengthening the unity of organized workers, we aim to encourage the active participation of Ethiopian workers in the country's political, economic, and social affairs, and contribute our due share to the overall development of a democratic culture in Ethiopia.
